Hatha

Hatha yoga if practiced regularly will enhance strength, flexibility, balance and will provide light to moderate aerobic conditioning. Our Hatha classes include breath work (pranayama) and meditation which can help reduce stress, manage depression and anxiety, and also improve sleep. Hatha is an excellent option for any level as the body moves slowly and deliberately into poses (asanas). The poses can be modified to suit individual needs.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow shares many of the same poses as Hatha. The difference is Vinyasa Flow has a distinct focus and pacing. The poses transition from on to another coordinating with your breathing and gives you a wonderful spacious feeling. Vinyasa yoga improves energy levels, strength and fitness while promoting relaxation in the muscles. It is also a great way of decreasing stress levels and improving sleep. Vinyasa Flow is great for people who are familiar with yoga poses and have a good level of fitness.

Yin Yoga

A regular Yin practice calms and balances the mind and body by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. It is a passive process in which you hold a pose for 2-3 minutes allowing the circulation to reach joints and fascia, with your attention on your breath. It is gentle and suitable for all ages and releases tightness in the body, improves mobility and enhances the flow of energy (chi) around the internal organs. It's lineage comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism.

“Kath is a great yoga teacher, making sure to explain the asanas and benefits of the process to our mind and body. I have no problem in recommending Kath to anyone who would like to practice in one of her classes ."

Lindsey, London

"Kath is a truly wonderful yoga teacher. Her relaxed style puts everyone at ease and makes yoga feel inclusive and accessible. I really appreciate how she explains each of the asanas and movements, including how they should feel and their impact on the body. She has improved my understanding of yoga and introduced me to some new elements to explore. And she's made it fun! She helps me tune into my body during practice and I feel a deep sense of calm coming out of her classes."

Nimisha, London

“3 words I'd use to describe Kath's style of teaching yoga are - soothing, mindful and Mind Body conscious. Kath's classes allow you to escape from the stress of day to day with her soothing voice and mindful guidance into asanas. I enjoy the movement with breath work that Kath does so well in her class, and I walk away from the class understanding how yoga
will benefit me both physically and mentally.”
